Ashikaga
Takauji established Japan`s second feudal military
government. Takauji is the first
shôgun (1338-58) and
the founder of Ashikaga shogunate which will held until 1573. His reign
symbolizes the fall of the Kamakura
government and the beginning of the
Muromachi period.
