Nakanoshima Park is the first public park of Japan opened in 1891. The park is located between the eastern end of the sandbank and the Ôsaka City Hall.  The park holds a rose garden, the City Hall of Ôsaka and the Ôsaka Prefectural Nakanoshima Library on its west end.
