EXPO 2005, the first world exposition to be held in Asia in the twenty-first century intented to add an Asian perspective to the concept of environmental preservation under the thema "nature's wisdom". The EXPO 2005 was held within the framework of the International Bureau of Expositions (BIE), whose member nations will form the core of participants. Many nonmember nations, international organizations, non-governmental organizations and private-sector participants collaborated.
