The
Rainbow Bridge is a
suspension bridge - opened
to traffic in 1993 - crossing
Northern Tôkyô Bay between the Shibaura District and the artificial
Daiba Island. The bridge is 798
m long overall and the central section is 570 m. The name "Rainbow
Bridge" was decided by the public because of its colorful illumination
at night. The bridge can be accessed by foot.
